Ages: 13 – 18 years
Requirements: The main benefit of this group is that there aren’t requirements. This group is open to all ability levels and all dedication levels. This group allows swimmers to participate in multiple sports, activities, and events. Swimmers can come once, or take advantage of all 5 practices each week. This can be for people who want to get in shape, stay in shape, or even train. All members of the Varsity group are encouraged to participate in meets. If a Varsity swimmer has the ability to make the intervals of the Senior group, and would like to dedicate at a higher level, please express this interest to your coach.
Training: 1.25 hours per day, 5 days per week
Yardage: Depends on ability level of the swimmer. Some advanced swimmers in this group swim up to 4000 yards, and some more beginner swimmers swim much less while they learn the ins and outs of the competitive strokes.
Basic Goals: Individually based. Besides getting in shape, staying in shape, or training, these swimmers work hard on technique development.
Equipment: Fins; paddles; snorkel; kickboard; mesh bag; water bottle; bouy.
