Ages:  8-10 years

Requirements:  Swimmer has advanced from TSA Swim School or has previous experience on another swim team.  Swimmer will begin participating in swim meets and wear a team suit for competitions.  Swimmers are encouraged to swim a minimum of 3 out of 4 practices a week.

Training:  1 hour, 4 days per week, emphasis on teaching skills.

Basic Goals: Team work; sculling drills; swimmer continues to learn and improve swimming technique in all 4 strokes; turn work; start work; improve kicking; learn drill progressions; workout rules; introduction to clock and interval work; swimmer gains experience in USA Swim Meets; main emphasis is on proper swimming technique vs. winning or swimming fast, although sometimes the two go hand in hand.

Dryland: Stretching and running games; stroke simulations out of water

Required Equipment: Orange Speedo fins; NIKE kickboard; Jr. Snorkel, water bottle; practice suit; practice goggles; team cap, team shirt. 

Optional Outfitting: Nike Team Sweats, Nike Team Backpack, Parka
